This review is for the salon --- I got the worst service and worst haircut of my life at the JC Penney salon by a wannabe stylist named Ashley Todd-Wallace. I asked for 3 inches to be cut off into a straight, shoulder-length bob cut and she was incapable of doing it correctly. The cut was asymmetrical with one side obviously longer than the other...and the front WAY longer than the back. My hair is naturally super curly...but she missed whole strands of hair that were "under the cape". She did NOT section my hair off and cut it carefully (like they do at Supercuts and Mastercuts and other places)....instead she just "eyeballed it" and it was horrible. In addition, I had my bangs chemically straightened and she didn't do it correctly so they were just as curly as when I went in. I had to call a manger the next week and have everything redone by ANOTHER stylist. Ashley was supposed to redo it, but she couldn't be bothered to show up on time for the appointment and, then when she did show up, she argued with me and told me basically it was my fault that the cut was screwed up since I had her doing my bangs as well as a haircut!!! I guess she is incapable of doing two things in one sitting??? Seriously though, isn't cutting hair straight the first thing they learn in school? If you can't even do that right, you might want to rethink your career. Bottom line: Don't allow Ashley to do your hair...and probably you might want to go somewhere other than JC Penney to have your hair done. I had a Gift Card I got as a present or I never would have gone there. I would have been better off using the Gift Card for some socks.
